Frequently asked questions
Quick answers to the questions that come up during a raid.

Why am I losing health while doing nothing?
Silence becomes bleeding after your grace window. Once pressure begins, one stroke does not reset it. Type continuously for ten seconds with gaps no longer than two seconds to recover. See the complete bleeding rules.
Is the game paused when I switch apps?
No. Background work is how you fight. Locking the Mac, sleeping its screens, or another user's active session pauses the danger clock. Reward and next-choice screens also wait for your decision.
Why is the same creature stronger this time?
Encounter level, threat, active skills, and run length set its combat strength. The creature name fixes its skill order, not a universal health value. Compare threat types.
Why is a creature appearing outside its native realm?
Realms supplement small tier pools with a stable selection from the wider world. Creature pages list native membership separately from actual eligible encounter pools.
Does a higher-tier item always help me more?
No. A large conditional bonus helps only when its trigger matches your input. A smaller universal bonus can work more often. Check the effect, hero restriction, slot, and any penalty before replacing equipment.
What do I lose when the raid ends?
Regular gear and boons belong to that run. Collected heirlooms, stars, and attunement form your full-run legacy. Test runs do not write their gains back. Reset all progress also erases the legacy.
Can I switch heroes in the middle?
Your selected hero remains for the whole raid. Choose another when starting a new journey. The heirloom collection is shared across heroes.
Why does an item say minutes but add less time here?
Extra grace is added to the hero's base before realm-stage and other modifiers. Deeper stages keep a smaller fraction. See the worked example in silence and bleeding.
Why do wiki values differ from my installed version?
This initial wiki covers the current development source and identifies that coverage in the sidebar. It may include changes ahead of the public release. Encounter modifiers, equipment, and progression can also change what you see in-game. The main website's demo uses separate browser balance.
